    The first release of verifytapn-ls, the language server of verifytapn 1.4.0 for graphedit, the graph editor. With the graphedit-tapn plugin, graphedit edits timed-arc Petri nets, and verifytapn-ls checks and debugs them. This is a release of the fork (branch feat/verifytapn-ls); verifytapn itself, its algorithms and its command line are those of upstream verifytapn 1.4.0.

    • Diagnostics: what keeps verifytapn from verifying the net (urgent transitions, weights, invalid inscriptions, names and queries, unpaired transport arcs, shared places that disagree...) and what is probably a modelling mistake (transitions that can never fire, places that are never marked, guards that the invariants rule out...).
    • Debugging: simulate the net step by step (fire transitions, let time pass) with breakpoints, change the marking, go back in time, and verify a query with verifytapn and follow the trace that it finds.
    • The TAPN models of a graphedit project are the components of one net, with shared places and transitions, as in TAPAAL. Queries are written in the declarations of the models, in the query syntax of TAPAAL.

    Installing

    verifytapn-ls is a static program for Linux on x86-64 (built with GCC 16 by the release workflow of verifytapn, cmake --workflow release). Download it, make it executable (chmod +x verifytapn-ls) and put it next to the graphedit-tapn plugins (~/.local/share/graphedit/plugins), on the PATH, or name it in the environment variable VERIFYTAPN_LANGUAGE_SERVER. It needs POSIX: there is no Windows build.

    It was tested with its unit tests (also with AddressSanitizer and UndefinedBehaviorSanitizer), against the verifytapn program on the example nets of verifytapn (26 queries, with the same answers and replayable traces), and end to end with the graphedit-tapn plugin in graphedit 2.2.0 and its graphedit-cli.
